Youth and Family Mental Health Services

Counseling and Support for Children and Teens

We understand that parents and caregivers are often the first to notice when something does not feel right. Whether a child is experiencing emotional changes, behavioral challenges, academic stress, or difficulties at home or school, early and supportive intervention can make a meaningful difference. Mental Health Services (MHS) is committed to providing youth with accessible, holistic care focused safety, trust, and long-term well-being.

Outpatient Youth Services

Outpatient youth services at Mental Health Services (MHS) provide counseling and mental health support for children and adolescents facing a wide range of emotional, behavioral, and social challenges. These services are designed to help young people develop healthy coping skills while offering families guidance and support throughout the process.

Youth may seek outpatient services for concerns such as anxiety, depression, mood changes, behavioral difficulties, stress related to school or peers, and challenges with emotional regulation. Services are delivered in a structured yet welcoming environment where children and teens feel safe, respected, and understood.

Family involvement is an important part of outpatient youth care. When appropriate, caregivers are included in the treatment process to strengthen communication, reinforce skills at home, and support positive outcomes beyond the therapy setting. This collaborative approach helps ensure that progress is supported both in sessions and in everyday life.

Addressing Emerging Risks

Problem Gambling Services

Problem gambling can affect teens and young adults, particularly as digital and online platforms make gambling more accessible. Mental Health Services (MHS) provides support services to address emerging gambling-related concerns among youth and young adults.

These services focus on education, awareness, and early intervention. Youth and families are supported in understanding the risks associated with gambling, including online and digital formats, and in developing strategies to reduce harm and promote healthier behaviors.

By addressing problem gambling early, Mental Health Services (MHS) aims to prevent long-term consequences and support youth in making informed and responsible choices.
